Jeannine is a doctoral candidate in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. She received a B.S. from Fordham University in Integrative Neuroscience, with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience, and a minor in History (concentrated mostly in US history). In her post-graduate training, Jeannine worked at a world-renowned autism center with individuals of all ages. Her primary responsibilities included lesson planning and providing direct support for the Early Intervention classroom.
Jeannine began tutoring other students, both with and without learning disabilities, when she was in middle school. Since then, Jeannine has tutored a variety of subjects, including American and global history, middle school level math, algebra, geometry, middle school level science, biology, English Language Arts, and biopsychology. She also has four years of experience as a writing coach for high school-level students.
In addition to her background in tutoring, Jeannine has experience working with individuals of all ages with autism spectrum disorder, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety disorders, executive functioning difficulties, and learning difficulties. She has experience assisting both students and adults with organizational skills and transitions.
Outside of her school and work life, Jeannine enjoys staying active at spin classes, traveling the world, and reading fiction. Her favorite spin classes to attend are Peloton and SoulCycle because of the presence of community and both organizations’ focus on the mind and body. When she is not riding a stationary bike, she can be found on a plane. Seeing the world beyond her hometown is a passion of hers. She enjoys learning about different countries and immersing herself in new cultures. Some of her favorite countries she has traveled to are Iceland, Aruba, Italy, and Greece. Lastly, she enjoys reading fiction novels because it provides her with a break from reality, and more importantly, a break from the computer or television screen. She loves reading stories that express someone’s creativity and being able to unravel the author’s passion as she turns each page.
