BUDDY UP
For kids ages 8-10 who want to make and keep friends!
It can be a great relief for parents and caretakers to know that social skills can indeed be taught and that children can form deep and meaningful friendships even if it has been challenging for them previously.
This group helps children Ages 8-10:

For tweens and young teens who are ready to go from insecure and disconnected to confident and self-assured!ress
This group is for female-identifying tweens and young teen who are struggling with the “in between” of middle school life.
Our middle school girls group can help your child:

➡️ Learn how to reflect and process emotions in a group setting with peers
➡️ Explore healthy body image
➡️ Develop coping skills to manage interpersonal conflicts and reduce stress
HIGH SCHOOL GIRLS GROUP
For female-identifying teens who are ready to go from disconnected, self-doubting and insecure to confident, connected and assertive!
Group therapy can be life-changing for teens. Participating in a group can help reduce isolation, improve problem-solving, encourage self-discovery and so much more.
Our high school teen girls group can help your child:

ONLINE SOCIAL SKILLS GROUP
ONLINE MIDDLE SKILLS GROUP: AGES 15-19
For teens who are ready to go from lonely and struggling socially to connected and confident.
Our online social skills groups can help your teen:
➡ Build Connection
➡ Learn lifelong skills to make new friends and develop closer relationships
➡ Increase confidence
➡ Cope with stressful situations
Participants will learn crucial social skills, including:
➡ Starting and sustaining a conversation
➡ Using humor appropriately
➡ Responding to teasing
➡ Online “netiquette”
➡ Navigating arguments
Groups for Children and Teens at Cope with School NYC will help your child learns communication skills to best manage their emotions and conflicts in their lives, both at home and with peers. Your child will learn positive language and coping skills that can be added to their personal toolkit for use in any challenging situation they encounter. All groups for children and teens provide a safe, nurturing environment for children and teens to grow socially and emotionally. We keep all groups for children and teens small to ensure that all members may receive optimal attention and the opportunity to participate in group discussion. All groups for children and teens are led by a licensed child therapist. All groups will meet weekly at UWS Manhattan offices (26 West 74th Street).
The Cope With School NYC Online Middle School Group (all-gender) can help your middle school age child (ages 11-14) work on social skills, stress management and building self-esteem. It addresses the issues members bring to group in a supportive and engaging manner through facilitated discussion and cooperative online game play. Topics include: dealing with conflicts at home and school, peer pressure, bullying, coping with learning differences, ADHD, low motivation, anxiety and depression, problem solving and more.
Our online social skills groups provide safe, nurturing and confidential environments for tweens and teens to grow socially and emotionally. We keep groups small to ensure that all members may receive optimal attention and opportunity to participate in group discussions.
