Candidates who passed a GED subtest in 2012 or 2013 have until the end of 2015 to apply up to four GED test results toward their New York high school equivalency. • The test is divided into five sections: Reading Literacy, Writing, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies.

• The examination is offered in both paper-based (PBT) and computer-based (CBT) formats. It is not possible to take it online.

• TASC is available in English and Spanish, as well as Braille and audio formats for the visually impaired.

• Each calendar year, test takers are granted two free retakes.
