The Short Story: Author’s Writing Workshop

Grades: 9 – 12

You will have an opportunity to write short stories about issues and subjects that matter to you and your peers. The class will critique each other s work. You will learn how to revise and edit your writing resulting in a finished short story. Student work will be compiled into a book of short stories.

Dates: 8 sessions: Mondays May 11, 18, June 1, 8, 15, 22, and Tuesdays May 26 and June 23.
(Class will be held on Tuesday, May 26 instead of Memorial Day, May 25)
Time: 4pm – 5pm
Instructor: Mcedwin

Mcedwin is a NYC Department of Education teacher with expertise in English Language Arts (ELA) and Special Education. He also is a Professor in the Education Department at Pace University. At Themba Tutors, he provides support for students with and without learning differences in reading, writing and ELA and History.
