ROLANDO

Spanish Tutor

Rolando, our experienced Spanish Teacher for the Summer 2023 Remote Spanish Class, brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the classroom. Originally from Spain and residing in the US since 2004, Rolando has over 18 years of teaching experience, including coordinating Spanish language programs in New York.

His impressive career includes working with the Education Office of Spain, where he implemented language lessons for Spanish heritage students. Following this role, Rolando dedicated eleven years to the United Nations International School, teaching students at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. He held various positions, including Middle School Coordinator, founder and leader of the Spanish Exchange Program, presenter of technology workshops, organizer of Language Festivals, editor of the Modern Language Department newsletter, and member of the Curriculum Committee.

In 2019, Rolando contributed his expertise at Trinity School, teaching Spanish at the elementary level and collaborating with the curriculum. From 2019 to 2021, he worked with the Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Pine Street School, an esteemed educational program managed by the International Baccalaureate (IB) for students aged 3 to 12. Additionally, Rolando taught Spanish at Lawrence Woodmere Academy during this period.

Since August 2021, Rolando has been teaching Spanish at the elementary level and has also played a crucial role as the developer of the Spanish curriculum at St. Luke’s School in West Village, Manhattan.
