Grades: 9 – 12
With many young adults across the United States carrying credit card and student loan debt it is more important than ever that we educate the next generation to understand how budgeting and financial planning can help their future. In this course, you, the student, will study the basics of budgeting, banking, debt, and investing in order to be better prepared to make the best financial decisions possible. The class will involve online discussion, reading/writing, and watching various forms of media to gain important financial knowledge.
Dates: 10 sessions: Tuesdays and Thursdays from May 12 to June 11, 2020
Time: 5pm – 6pm
Instructor: Brian
Brian is a NYC Department of Education teacher with expertise in High School Computer Science and Math. At Themba Tutors, he provides support for students with and without learning differences in Mathematics and test prep.
