Effective Date: June 26th, 2023
This contract ("Contract") is entered into between Themba Tutors and Jack Tamir ("Student"). The purpose of this Contract is to establish the terms and conditions for tutoring services provided by Themba Tutors to the Student.
Location: Tutoring sessions will initially take place at the following location: Library: 500 1st Ave, Asbury Park, NJ 07712.
Schedule and Duration: Tutoring sessions will be conducted for four hours per day, excluding a one-hour lunch break, five days per week, from Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. The tutoring sessions will start at 11:00 am and end at 4:00 pm. The lunch break will take place between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm.
Weekly Tutoring Hours: The weekly tutoring hours will total 20 hours per week for a duration of 6 weeks, starting from June 26th and ending on August 4th, excluding holidays. Starting on June 26th, the Student will be billed for 6 weeks worth of tutoring, 20 hours per week, with the exceptions of holidays or when Brad is unavailable to tutor in person from June 26th- August 4th, 2023.
Tutor Availability: Brad will be available to extend tutoring after August 4th, until the end of August.
Classes and Instructor: Brad, the instructor, will teach all classes listed below and will not break up these classes among other instructors:
Economics 101
Finance 101
Real Estate 101
Current Events
Computer Literacy 101
Accommodation for Caste: As Jack has a caste, Themba Tutors understands and respects the need for accommodation. Until Jack is cleared by his doctor, he will not be required to keyboard or write during the tutoring sessions.
Use of Common Area: As the Asbury Park library may not guarantee private space, Jack and Brad will commit to working at a table in a common area of the library during the tutoring sessions.
Cancellation and Non-Billing: Themba Tutors will not bill the Student if Brad is unavailable to tutor for the day due to reasons such as getting a flat tire, calling in sick, or showing up late.
Billing: Themba Tutors will bill the Student in the following scenarios: a) If the Student shows up late for a tutoring session. b) If the Student misses a tutoring session. c) If the Student decides to terminate the tutoring sessions before August 4th.
Commitment to Education: By providing the guarantee mentioned in Section 9, Themba Tutors and Brad are committed to the Student's education during the summer and will make every effort to ensure a successful tutoring experience.
By signing below, the parties acknowledge their understanding and agreement to the terms and conditions outlined in this informal contract.
