At times, our learning specialists provide content tutoring, such as history, Living Environment, Environmental Science, biology, ecology, English, American Literature, U.S. & World History, and they always offer skills-based support. Our math specialists work within your child s school curriculum and can also provide additional support outside of the school curriculum.

How frequently does the tutor come and how long are the sessions?

Typically, our tutors help students one to three times per week, and each session is one hour. For very young children, we can decrease the session length to 45 minutes. We work with you to figure out the optimal tutoring frequency.

When does the tutoring come to end?

Some students need short-term help, while other students need ongoing support. We work with you to best achieve your child s learning goals.

Do you offer test prep?

Yes! Our learning specialists also teach various tests, such as New York State tests in Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science for grades 3 through high school. We also prepare academic tests in all subject areas; Regents; the SHSAT for admission to specialized public high schools; the ISEE/SSAT for admission to private boarding and day schools; the PSAT, SAT, and ACT for college admission; and the GRE. We also help with college essays and counseling for college admission.

What ages do you work with?

We work with elementary-school-age children all the way up to college students and adults who need support in the context of their jobs.

Do you make house calls?

Yes! We travel throughout New York City, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Queens, Long Island, Westchester County (Rye, Scarsdale, Harrison, White Plains), and Fairfield County, Connecticut (Greenwich, Riverside, Darien) and New Jersey (Jersey City, Bayonne). Our learning specialists will meet with your child at your house at a time that is convenient for your family.
